PR #2, merged on 24 October 2026, is the turning point. It implements Swift Axis Threads from the plan in docs/plans/threads/plan.md: in the PR's words, "the site becomes a mind map of posts".

  • Seeds are the roots (the site now calls them topics).
  • Every post has up to 3 forward branches: children or placeholders under it, or crossroads into other published posts. Branches can't form cycles.
  • Unwritten branches show as "coming soon" teasers, and unattached placeholders live in an ideas backlog.
  • Readers get topic URLs, a mini map, a full /map, reading progress in the browser and optional reader accounts.
  • Personas arrived too: editors can write as shared writer identities.
  • Hosting moved off Firebase: one Gin container serves the API, the admin and the static Astro site.

PR #2 notes it was built with OpenCode, with one commit per plan step. PR #3 followed the same day with fixes: an atomic unpublish revert in one transaction, a rule that a story's slug can't equal its topic's slug, and the first Playwright end-to-end tests.
